Family Petitions
One of the benefits to being a US Citizen or US Resident, is that you may petition for other family members to obtain residency in the United States. Before applying, you must know who can apply for another family member, which family member you can apply for, and when that family member may enter the United States.

Whom may you petition for?
If you are a Citizen, you may petition for the following:
-
Spouse
-
Parents
-
Children (Minor and Adults)
-
Step Children (some restrictions apply)
-
Adopted Children (some restriction apply)
-
Brothers and Sisters
If you are a Resident, you may petition for the following:
-
Spouse
-
Children (Minor and Adults)
-
Step Children (some restrictions apply)
When they may enter the US?
The above information shows who all can be petitioned for, however, depending on the relationship and visas available, not all family members may obtain the benefit show immediately. Some may have to wait longer than others.
Contact us to determine the process and approximate length of time on petitioning your family member today.
